Clam Modestly Lower; ECB Comments Boost Euro
SAN FRANCISCO — The bucks was modestly lower against most major vis Monday, slithering against the euro after warlike talk from European central bank functionaries over the weekend. The bucks index, that tracks the public presentation of the government note against a handbasket of six major dateness, was at 76.630, down from 76.692 in late U.S. trading Friday. The euro was trading at USD 1.4506, likenned with USD 1.4497 and the pound sterling was at USD 1.9443, equated with USD 1.9464 Friday. Markets in Japan existed closed for a vacation Monday. The bucks was purchasing 106.64 yen, likenned with 107.43 yen late Friday.
